Finnish language course for women

This autumn we are starting an evening Finnish language course for women!

Would you like to study Finnish in the evenings, in a calm atmosphere and at your own pace? On our evening course for women who have moved to Finland you will improve your Finnish, gain useful skills for everyday life, and receive support in planning your future!

📍 Location: Evangelical Folk High School of Kitee
📅 Schedule: Tuesdays and Wednesdays, starting August 26, 2025.
(Note! On August 26, we meet at 16:00 in the school cafeteria)
🕡 Class hours: 16:30–19:00
🍽️ On class days, dinner is provided at 16:00
🕓 Course duration: by choice from 0.5 to 1.5 years, with the possibility to continue until autumn 2026.

On the course you will learn to:

  • Speak Finnish more fluently and understand it better
  • Manage your affairs in different institutions and in shops
  • Use online services
  • Plan your studies and employment

Studies are free of charge if:

  • you are an immigrant woman and

  • you are employed / unemployed / a stay-at-home parent or

  • you are studying for a profession or at a higher education institution or

  • you do not have a valid integration plan
